At Pooch & Mutt, we are dedicated not only to producing the highest quality, most effective supplementary foods for dogs, but also to making sure that we have as little environmental impact on our (and our dogs’) planet as possible.

Pooch & Mutt products come in 2 types of packaging.

Pooch & Mutt pelleted products come in fully biodegradable, compostable packaging. The packaging can decompose in just 6-8 weeks. Its PLA Bio-Plastic liner (which keeps the contents fresh) is the world’s first greenhouse gas neutral polymer. The packaging is made from totally renewable sources, which grow back annually. Whilst growing, the plants that make the polymer absorb carbon dioxide from the air, which more than offset the carbon dioxide emitted during the production and any disposal process.

Pooch & Mutt concentrated products come in resealable plastic pouches. On the surface these are not as environmentally friendly as the recyclable packaging, however they do offer important environmental benefits. As the products are concentrated they take up less space, so transport emissions are reduced. The plastic packaging is more durable, so for direct orders there is no need for padded envelopes or extra packaging. They will also fit through a standard letter box, so courier emissions are reduced.
